Bird Nest Cookies
I’m sort of embarrassed to share this but I have writer’s block and it is the only thing coming to me at the moment!
I was recently at Target with my son and his friend in tow. We went our separate ways. I was looking for something to dunk into Cadbury Mini Eggs Cheesecake Dip and out of nowhere I was overcome with emotion. There I was, in the middle of Target in the middle of the day, just randomly starting to cry because I felt so much appreciation for the flexibility I’ve been blessed with and the extras I am able to afford because of this blog.
I called my husband and told him I needed him to make me laugh to help shake off the vulnerability I was feeling. He said, “But they are happy tears!”
This feeling I had wasn’t just appreciation, it was gratitude for everyone who has supported and contributed to this blog, especially my husband, my son, my Grandma, and my parents. I guess my tears of joy just couldn’t be held back anymore! God is so, so good. I give Him the glory!
I wish I had the courage to tell you my story, maybe someday. But for now, please find encouragement, guidance, strength, and hope in Jesus. I can promise you, He knows what you need and will help you. Sometimes my prayers are just, “Lord, help me.”
Easter eggs have absolutely nothing to do with the true meaning of Easter, but I love holidays and I shop holiday candy like it’s my last meal! I had a lot of fun making these Easter Egg Bird Nest Cookie Cups! I think your kids or grandkids will have fun with them, too.
I think you’ll like some of my other favorite Easter treats, like Peeps Bunny Sugar Cookies, Easter Oreo Dirt Cake Cups, Scotcheroo Bird Nest Bites, and Butterscotch and Peanut Butter Bird Nest Cookies, too!

What You’ll Need:
- 1 package (24 count) Ready-to-Bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Squares
- 24 Mini-Reese’s Cups, Unwrapped
- 1 (16 oz) can Store Bought Vanilla Frosting
- Green Sprinkles
- Easter Sprinkles
- Cadbury Mini Eggs

How to Make Easter Egg Bird Nest Cookie Cups
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 24-count mini-muffin pan with non-stick spray and set aside.
- One at a time, roll each Ready-to-Bake Reese’s Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Square into a ball. Place into each mini-muffin spot.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- In the meantime, unwrap 24 mini-Reese’s cups and set aside.
- Remove the pan from the oven and immediately press unwrapped Reese’s down into the center of the cookie.
- Let cool before removing from the pan.
- Spread frosting on top of each cookie. Roll the tops into green sprinkles, then sprinkle with Easter sprinkles.
- Press 3 Cadbury Mini Eggs into the top of the nests.
Recipe Notes:
- Pan – I use a 24 cup non-stick mini muffin pan, works like a charm! You could also use two 12 cup non-stick mini muffin pans.
- Sugar – Roll dough balls into sugar before placing them into the mini-muffin pan if desired.
- Sanding Sugar – You can use sanding sugar to make these into Christmas Cookies!
- Non-Stick Spray – Even if you are using a non-stick pan, I recommend spray it. It helps you easily remove them.
- Keeping their Shape – I highly recommend leaving these in the pan and putting them in the refrigerator until firm. When they are cold out of the refrigerator, all you have to do is give each of the cookies a slight twist and they will pop right out!
