Adorable little no bake candy turkey treats for Thanksgiving that don’t require candy corn!
Nutter Butter Turkeys with Pretzels
This idea is great when you don’t have access to candy corn! Although, I did find that you may have to shuffle the chocolate covered pretzels around to make sure the Nutter Butters firmly lay on the pretzels and touches all of them well enough to stick to the melted chocolate. Just make sure you lay the cookie on the pretzels before ‘gluing’ them on to test how well they’ll stick!
Also, the average person doesn’t have the embarrassing amount of sprinkles in their stash like I do, so in case you don’t happen to have candy hearts you can skip it or get creative and do something else!
I love making cute Thanksgiving treats, like these Nutter Butter Pretzel Turkeys, for my son to take to school! If you find just as much joy as I do making them, then I think you’ll like these Thanksgiving Pumpkin Pie Turkeys, Reese’s Cup Turkey Treats, and Pilgrim Hat Cookies!
What You’ll Need:
- 40 Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- 10 Nutter Butters
- 20 Candy Eyes
- 5 Orange Reese’s Pieces
- 10 Candy Hearts
- 1/4 cup Chocolate Chips, Melted
How to Make Nutter Butter Pretzel Turkeys
- Lay out a piece of parchment paper.
- Divide 40 chocolate covered pretzels in clusters of 4 on the parchment paper.
- Lay a Nutter Butter on top and in the center of each cluster. Make sure the cookie touches the top of all 4 pretzels firmly. If it doesn’t, then they won’t stick to the melted chocolate.
- Melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips to use as ‘glue.’
- Spread melted chocolate on the back of the Nutter Butters and ‘glue’ to the pretzels.
- Then use the melted chocolate to ‘glue’ on a set of eyes, half of Reese’s Pieces for the nose, and a candy heart for the beard.
- Repeat until all turkeys are made. Let sit to harden.
